Bats! @ MOL

On Wednesday, July 9 at 1:30 p.m., we'll discuss the presence of bats in our environment, their habitats and habits, benefits they provide, and threats to their survival. Participants will use a dichotomous key to identify 8 bats and create their own poster to take home with them.

Space at MOL will be limited so sign up early. This program is for children between the grades of 4 and 6. Register online or call the library at 440.255.8811.

Yikes, Spiders! @ Main

Carol Ward, from the Cleveland Lakefront & Headlands Beach State Parks, will be here on Wednesday, July 9 at 11:00 a.m. to introduce you to the world of spiders. Learn all about their habits and habitats, myths and facts, and their benefits and strengths.

The Election of James Garfield

The third program in our President Garfield Series, on Tuesday, July 15 at 6:30 p.m., picks up with General Garfield's surprise nomination at Chicago's 1880 Republican Convention, sending shock waves back to Mentor. The nation's first Front Porch Campaign begins, and Lawnfield becomes a national symbol for the Republican Party. To hear more, join us for an evening presented by Dave Lintern. Free and open to the public. Registration is not necessary.

Geek Squad @ MPL

Representatives from Best Buy will be at our Main Library on Monday, July 14 at 6:30 p.m. to demonstrate how to go wireless and go digital. PC wireless connectivity, digital tv transition, and transferring your music from your PC to your ipod and back will all be discussed.
